Brazilian or Hollywood: what's the difference?

Brazilian

Removes hair from the whole bikini area, front to back, leaving a small strip or shape at the front. Tell us the shape you'd like and we'll treat around it.

Hollywood

Removes all hair from the bikini area, front to back, for a completely smooth finish.

Not sure yet?

Both are the same price, so you can decide at your consultation. You can also start with a Brazilian and choose to treat the remaining strip later.

Why laser

Why choose laser over waxing and shaving?

The bikini area is one of the most sensitive places to remove hair. Laser treats the hair at the root, so after a course most clients have far less hair to deal with, and far fewer bumps and ingrown hairs.

Fewer ingrown hairsLess shaving and waxing means less irritation, redness and razor bumps.
No more regrowth to wait forUnlike waxing, you shave between sessions, so there's no need to grow hair out.
Long-lasting resultsMost clients see a 70–90% reduction in hair by the end of their course.

After: the area may feel warm or look a little red for a few hours. Avoid hot baths, saunas, swimming and the gym for 48 hours, and wear loose clothing to avoid rubbing.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does Brazilian laser hair removal hurt?

The bikini area is more sensitive than most, so you may feel it more than on your legs. Most clients describe it as a quick snap followed by warmth. Our laser has built-in cooling, and you can ask for a pause at any time.

Do I need to remove my underwear?

Yes, as we need to reach the whole area. You'll have privacy to undress, and we'll keep you covered as much as possible throughout your treatment.

Can I have treatment during my period?

Yes, if you feel comfortable, as long as you wear a tampon or menstrual cup. The area can feel more sensitive around your period, so you're welcome to reschedule if you'd prefer. Please give us 48 hours' notice.

How many sessions will I need?

Most clients need 6 to 10 sessions, spaced 4 to 8 weeks apart, because hair grows in cycles. By the end of a course, most clients see a 70–90% reduction in hair.

What should I do about ingrown hairs before treatment?

Please don't pick or squeeze them. Gentle exfoliation a few days before your appointment can help. We'll avoid treating any broken or irritated skin.

Can I shave between sessions?

Yes, shaving is fine from 48 hours after treatment. Avoid waxing, plucking, epilating and hair removal creams, as they remove the root the laser needs to target.
